1 popper = 2 net carbs (please calculate your own stats using the recipe ingredients as different food brands can vary.)
Ingredients:
10 jalapeños
70 g cream cheese
40 g shredded parmesan
40 g shredded cheddar
disposable latex gloves (important!)
10 slices bacon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Put the gloves on to protect against the jalapeño oils.
- Slice the jalapeños in half, leaving the ends on, and de-seed them.
- Mix the three cheeses in a bowl. Divide into 10 even portions.
- Fill one side of each jalapeño with the cheese mixture. Put the other side on top.
- Lay a piece of bacon out and roll it around the outside of the jalapeño. Lay on a cooking sheet. Once you’ve cleaned up all the jalapeño mess, you can take the gloves off and discard them.
- Bake for 30 minutes, turn the poppers over, bake another 20-30 minutes till bacon is crispy and browned.
- Remove from oven, set on paper towel to collect excess bacon fat.
