The last month in the Plum Hill Garden has been full on! Mr. B has been working hard, and with the help of our lovely new neighbours, he managed to move 8 yards of bark mulch to all our freshly weeded garden beds. The difference is so astounding! We both love how the plants pop against the fresh mulch.
We also planted 40 daffodil bulbs – my daffodil love is late to the game because I’m not a fan of yellow flowers – but then I found a variety of white, orange, and pink ones, so now I’m excited to add them to our spring bulb display. We also added a mix of purple and orange bearded iris to the new bed we put in along our driveway, and added a patch of pink cyclamen and violet camassias in the Plum Garden.
We didn’t start making regular monthly garden videos till 2025, to document our garden’s progress and seasonal changes. I had a few seasonal ones from earlier years, and we recently revisited one from 2021. Seeing the difference we’ve made in 5 years was quite fun to watch.
